Tanz in Bern 2023 and the sensation of unrest: Everyone is familiar with it, a queue that never seems to budge or a noise that makes your hair stand on end. Who wouldn't want to banish these feelings of internal and external unrest in a flash, thus leading to a sudden improvement in our overall well-being?
A completely different kind of unrest is the one that helps initiate change and build a more just world. This type of unrest has the power to transform society, challenging grievances and injustices and rebelling against them.
In essence, unrest holds within it the promise of both change and innovation. From a societal perspective, it even appears desirable. While it may be temporarily associated with bustling creativity, in the long-run it must be tuned-in to the purpose of continuous improvement.
Dance allows you to experience and visually perceive the multifaceted dimensions of unrest. Therefore, we will be celebrating dances of unrest at Dampfzentrale this autumn.
