Nadia Beugré

Born in Ivory Coast, Nadia Beugré became a founding member of Béatrice Kombé’s groundbreaking, all-female dance ensemble, Tché-Tché, in 1997 and toured with it for years to international critical acclaim. In her works as a choreographer, she focuses on those she calls the «stranded», the outsiders who are rejected or ignored. In other words, those who are calm by virtue of their nature and who often put others into a state of unrest.

Culturescapes is a biennial cross-disciplinary arts festival that celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023. Since 2003, the festival has been dedicated to cultural landscapes of countries and regions. It is based in Basel, Switzerland, and has a network of more than 40 partner institutions throughout Switzerland, Belgium and the border triangle between Switzerland, Germany and France that extends far beyond a single city or country.
