Rollstuhlfahrer*innen Audio description

Michael Turinsky mixes cocktails in this solo, but the drinks are incidental. The actual focus is on the motions demanded by this process. How much time does mixing take? «Precarious Moves» takes a light-hearted look at the relations between the body and what surrounds it. Especially a body marked as «disabled» has a precarious and vulnerable relationship with its environment. Through his own experience of physical disability, Michael revolts against submitting a disabled or any type of body to the rule of systemic regimes of hegemonic mobility and mobilization cultures. «Precarious Moves» is the light exploration of unrest resulting from performing and watching. One thing is guaranteed though, your gin and tonic will definitely taste different after this performance.
