As a member of the Dampfzentrale Bern association, you support our cultural activities and get discounted admission to Dampfzentrale Bern, Schlachthaus Theater Bern and REX cinema. You will be kept up to date on what is happening in Bern’s cultural landscape – thanks to the «Kulturkuvert», which contains the programmes of Dampfzentrale Bern, Schlachthaus Theater Bern, REX cinema and Bühnen Bern and is conveniently delivered to your home every month.
Membership fees
- CHF 50 for natural persons
- CHF 30 for students and holders of an IV card
- CHF 90 for couples (in a joint household)
- From CHF 90 for patrons
- CHF 1000 for companies

The Association
On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, an extraordinary general meeting will take place at 19:00 at Dampfzentrale. Invitations will be sent out by post.
Proposal from the Executive Board to the General Meeting to update the Articles of Association of Dampfzentrale Association.
Dampfzentrale Bern, whose registered office is in Bern, is an association governed by the provisions of Articles 60 ff of the Swiss Civil Code.
The purpose of the association is to operate a cultural centre based on the mission statement, the artistic we (ART) and the performance agreement with the city of Bern. The association explicitly pursues a charitable purpose and is politically and religiously neutral.
The 2024 General Assembly will take place on 17 June 2024 at the Dampfzentrale Bern. Applications can be submitted until 13 May 2024.
