Sharings are public rehearsals that bring artists and interested audiences together. Such sharings offer insight into the creative processes of artists who are currently rehearsing at the Dampfzentrale Bern. They show what they are currently working on, what they are occupied with, and what is going on in an uncomplicated setting. Afterwards, the artists welcome discussion with their future audience. The Dampfzentrale Bern dramaturgical team moderates and supervises the sharings.

For her upcoming work I LOVE PROHIBITED FRUITS (working title) Teresa Vittucci invites the composer and sound artist Colin Self to participate in the second part of her trilogy in praise of vulnerability (the first part is the Swiss Dance Prize winning piece HATE ME, TENDER). In a duet, the two artists* devote themselves to the origin – more precisely the origin of the female figure as it was created in Genesis and Greek mythology as the first of all women: Eve and Pandora. In a queer-feminist illumination of these figures, whose narratives and attributed roles were decisive for the position of women* in all Christian-Jewish and Abrahamic societies, Vittucci and Self explore in a poetic-artistic examination the tension between (female) curiosity, transgression of boundaries and consequence – what risk does the decision bear in looking?
