Through her book «Darkness», Nina Edwards has written a cultural-historical account of darkness, thereby providing the inspiration for this year’s festival theme. In her keynote, she will show how the idea of darkness permeates art, literature, religion and aspects of our everyday language. To kick off Tanz in Bern, her input relates to the main thematic arc of the following two and a half weeks.
