In «Converting Eviction», a local television station in South Africa is besieged by drastic events: first, white blotches etch their way onto archive material and then a fire reduces parts of the building to a smouldering ruin. Sello Pesa and Tim Zulauf create a unique kaleidoscopic performance by blending together pieces of texts, durational performances, music and contemporary documents. The project deals with global and Swiss involvement in South Africa during the apartheid era, its consequences to this day and the ongoing struggle for reparation and debt relief.
