If you look at the current state of the world of club music, there’s no getting away from the label Pinkman from Rotterdam. Now in its delightful fifth year, the Pinkman record collection almost perfectly reflects the neo-experimental scene of all kinds of wave, techno, and electro.
This is also true of the label owner Marsman himself. With his catalogue for the Rotterdam Roughness, Marsman has written a new chapter connecting the most important cornerstones of this genre that is currently so popular: Identified Patient, Maenad Veyl, Drvg Cvltvre, Credit 00, and Das Ding.
Our second guest has also left his mark on Pinkman. But Alessandro Adriani has himself launched a very interesting label: in his own words, Mannequin Records has been “spreading cold wave since 2008” and has been doing an incredible job. As a producer, Adriani is also a long-running supplier on the wave / industrial techno scene. So it’s no wonder he hosts the Säule dance floor at Berghain at regular intervals.
