Natascha Moschini (performance)
Rea Dubach (music)

The Dampfzentrale Bern and its Associated Artists see themselves as partners; together, they turn ideas that they could not implement without each other into a reality. The programme makers Roger Ziegler and Anneli Binder also engage in a close artistic exchange with the Associated Artists.

The artists in turn act as disseminators and ambassadors for the Dampfzentrale Bern.

The musician Rea Dubach and the perfomer Natascha Moschini are currently the Associated Artists of the Dampfzentrale Bern.

Rea Dubach

Through her experimental pop music Rea Dubach creates a mystical blend of voice, field recordings, acoustic and electronic sound worlds. She has previously lived in Iceland and that along with her many years of experience as a sound buff and improviser can be heard in her songs. Her artistic work combines alert curiosity with an irrepressible desire to experiment, while conjoining improvisation with studio precision. An interdisciplinary focus is central to her work. It is reflected in her creativity as a singer, instrumentalist, composer, producer and performer. Dampfzentrale is therefore delighted to announce an artist who has achieved this level of artistic complexity as its new Associated Artist Music for the 2020/21 season. At present, her main areas of activity are the solo project REA and the trio Omni Selassi, consisting of Rea and the two drummers Lukas Rutzen and Mirko Schwab.

Natascha Moschini

Natascha Moschini graduated in «Contemporary Arts Practice» from Bern University of the Arts. Today, she works as a freelance artist in the fields of visual arts, performance and art installations. Together with the performer and actress Marie Popall, she enjoyed her first major success in the autumn of 2019 with «soft tissue». In her work, she focuses on the tension-laden interplay between pleasure and pleasing, creating figures that explore social and normative expectations and question comfort zones.
