BewegGrund stands for the natural coexistence of people with and without disabilities in dance. The association has been committed to the inclusion of dancers with disabilities since 1998 – in its own dance productions, a festival and in dance education.
The aim of the festival, which takes place every two years, is to promote the cultural participation of various people – both as artists and as spectators – in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
BewegGrund.Das Festival is a joint event organised by BewegGrund and disframe, the Migros-Kulturprozent funding and networking project for inclusive cultural practice, and the partner festivals Wildwuchs (Basel), Out of the Box (Geneva) and Orme (Lugano).
