11:00 DJ skyte
13:00 DJ baby benjamin
15:00 Joint walk to Bundesplatz

Get together, chat, discuss, refine our demands, get angry, read, dance, do nothing: 14 June falls on a bank holiday this year – so let’s celebrate the rebellious, feminist practice of lazing about together.

Drinks, snacks and cosy DJ sets await you at Dampfzentrale. We’ll provide craft materials for banners, nail polish and make-up.

Bring your deckchair or inflatable armchair so we can just hang out together outside – let’s be lazy together!

At 15:00, we’ll walk together with our deckchairs to Bundesplatz, where we’ll meet up with other allies and strikers from different locations. At Bundesplatz, we’ll stand with you to defend our demands, make our presence felt and take a stand.

Anyone who wants to bring a feminist cause to the table on this day, who wants to be lazy, who wants to get to know fellow strikers or show their solidarity with FLINTA people is very welcome.

Team Dampfzentrale will ensure that cis men take over the work in the building on this day.

In collaboration with Schlachthaus Theater.

skyte

skyte is the DJ alias of the artist, musician, radio presenter and event organiser Eglė Šalkauskyte. With her radio show Jelly Sunday, Eglė invented and established Sunday programming on Radio Bollwerk four years ago. The programme has since become a conceptual and hybrid smorgasbord of music, sound collages, voice recordings and artistic contributions from Eglė herself, as well as from carefully curated local, national and international musicians and/or artists.

baby benjamin

Sami Bernath is a dancer and spent a long time touring as a DJ duo with Akid Keule; she is also a supporter of and part of the queer-feminist label «Forcefieldrecords». She has actually given up DJing, but she is trying out new sounds with a sense of fresh curiosity in the cosy Dampfzentrale foyer.
