This sharing offers an insight into the upcoming dance performance «Good Things Come», choreographed and performed by Declan Whitaker.

In «Good Things Come» we meet ‘The Dancer’, a semi-human character which exists in the setting of a perpetual rehearsal. Stuck in limbo, ‘The Dancer’ continually prepares itself, it follows its interests and its whims, sometimes hopefully euphoric, at other times on the edge of breathlessness or even fainting. Determined to continue, ‘The Dancer’ tries to gather the strength to be decisive and consequent but it seems there are other things to be done on the road to nowhere.

«Good Things Come» is made in collaboration with Oliver Leith, Klara Mand, Lea Moro, Riccardo Tarocco and Yann Slattery and will premiere in Basel at Theater Roxy on June 9th.

The entry is free.

What is the purpose of a Sharing?

Artists who spend a residency at the Dampfzentrale Bern have the option of a Sharing. Sharings are public rehearsals where artists meet an interested audience. They offer the public an insight into the creative processes of artists. For their part, the artists use the Sharing to show interested parties what they are currently working on and what keeps them busy in an uncomplicated setting. The Dampfzentrale team discusses the Sharing with the artists in advance and moderates it.
