In the current project by Ines Marita Schärer, it is a (dreaming) body that speaks, speculates, imagines networks and interrelationships. It searches for a certain consciousness; the material, (an-)organic world as an extension of its own sensitive tissue. The voice shifts from the semantic to non-semantic, moving between the feeling of subjectivity and its (im)possible dissolution, with the corresponding insistence on fragility and sensibility as valuable and constitutive forces.
The performer proposes the interstices of poetry and noise (music) as a place liberated from rigid, established structures and dominant concepts; as an inclusive space for all possible vibrations and oscillations – for unheard, overheard ‘voices’ of the most diverse existences.
TENDER TEXTURES is a series of (sound) readings that the artist has performed at various venues, including Level Five, Brussels, rile* project space Brussels, and Centre Culturel Suisse, Paris.
Sylvie Robinson will be in residence at Dampfzentrale Berne from 22 to 30 March. On Friday, 28 March there will be a showing of her current work.
Ines Marita Schärer will be in residence at Dampfzentrale Bern from 17 to 21 March. On Friday, 21 March there will be a showing (work in progress) of TENDER TEXTURES.
