The filmmaker captures his environment with the camera, fearing he might be losing it more and more. The tableaus and their insistence on duration are creating an increasingly isolated state of perceiving the outside world in its unspectacular yet strangely unfamiliar intensity.
The Bern-based filmmaker, sound artist and photographer Yannick Mosimann (*1989) presents the premiere of his first full-length film at Dampfzentrale. The YR project sees him working closely with musician Rea Dubach, who has been an associated music artist at Dampfzentrale since the 2019/2020 season. Last summer, Mosimann presented – also as a premiere – the film «Our ears are in excellent conditions», an extraordinary concert film that focuses less on the three performing musicians and more on how the audience listens.
