Argentine composer, cellist, improviser and curator Violeta García presents a brand new live performance with an international ensemble of transdisciplinary artists* to explore the possibilities of sound sculptures through rituals, sounds and space. García’s performances capture the pulsations of the burning intensity of the present, immersing the audience in a site-specific, multi-channel organism between poetry and high-intensity sound.
With its focus on visceral power, this work blurs the lines between instrumental and electroacoustic composition. The premiere of «Sounds Appropriations» explores the boundaries of perception and oscillates between pain and pleasure. Violeta García’s work transcends the boundaries of time, evoking emotional and sensual memories and challenging the audience to question the habitual cultural circuits associated with survival, relentless socialization and escape into nightlife.
