We will inaugurate the video installation with a vernissage — a walk from Schlachthaus Theatre to Dampfzentrale and a surprise aperitif. ( ) will be on display throughout the 26/27 season.
( ) is an artistic journey of discovery that focuses on the collaboration between SHT and Dampfzentrale Bern. As a joint project between the two institutions, it invites artists to creatively explore this connection in the form of a video installation.
In her work, Beth Dillon views everyday life as a setting for artistic and social experiments, and uses humour and storytelling to shed light on aspects of care work and intimacy. In the coming seasons, various artists will expand the project with their own video works. Each edition offers a new perspective on the relationship between the two Bernese cultural centres. Over time, this will create a diverse archive that not only makes this connection visible but also allows it to be experienced.
