The Variaton symphony orchestra joins forces with another artist who is in his element when the music stops: the pantomime artist Carlos Martínez. «imaginatio miraculosa» represents something amazing, imaginativeness, a world of dreams. While searching for this, Variaton and Carlos Martínez tell tales that need no words.

Symphonic poems focus on specific tales or moods as their main theme and leave plenty of space for their music. Carlos Martínez also utilises the audience’s fantasy: he conjures up tales with mere gestures, while blending his Mediterranean temperament and humour with exquisite artistic technique and rhythm. This creates an over-arching character that spans an evening full of excitement. Music and silence, apparent opposites, come together and are combined in a common world.
