At first glance, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has little to do with love. In a ritual-like round dance, however, L-E-V demonstrate how close love and obsessions can come. Based on the poem of the same name by Neil Hilborn, in “OCD LOVE” excellent dancers seduce the audience into dark beauty, with the manic never far away. Their almost hypnotic movement language is driven by metronomic techno music. Movement, stage, and music merge into an intense, puristic dance experience around the longing for security and fulfil ment through this longing.

The minds behind L-E-V are the former Ohad Nahari dancer and former house choreographer of the Batsheva Dance Company, Sharon Eyal, and the multimedia event designer, Gai Behar. They have been working together since 2006 and their successful productions can be seen at the most important international festivals. At this year’s Steps dance festival, they performed “Love Chapter 2”, the sequel to “OCD LOVE”, in front of an enthusiastic audience.
