Claire Cunningham - Out There in the Dark

This autumn, acclaimed disabled dance artist Claire Cunningham and her ensemble of internationally renowned disabled dancers: Dan Daw, Tanja Erhart and Vicky Malin, should have been in Bern to perform their show «Thank You Very Much», in which they relate their experiences of the glittering and competitive world of the professional Tribute artist.

Due to the pandemic, they can’t be here this year but until we can be together again (hopefully in Oct 21), they, and the behind the scenes creative team, invite you to share some insights on the world of the work.  With musings on the current situation: how it feels to know that in a parallel world they would be donning jumpsuits, capes and fringing, warming up their voices and bodies to navigate you through the evening, and thinking about what it means right now to be left waiting for the next cue and to not have even «left the building»… The company have crafted a letter that will be posted out to you, their missed audience, in their absence, along with some exclusive online films and audio.
