A mysterious, macabre labyrinth opens before our eyes. This dark, disturbing world reveals an unique and extreme language of movement. Peeping Tom’s artistic signature runs through «Diptych» like a thread. It all starts with their familiar take on stage settings: A hallway filled with doors, a cabin on a ship. What then unravels results in unstable universes. Space, time and mood change, fiction breaks free and the hidden is illuminated.
«Diptych» is created with a completely new ensemble, wherein the short pieces «The missing door» and «The lost room», originally developed with the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT I), are interpreted and woven together into a wondrous tale full of discovery.
Biography
Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier founded the Belgian dance theatre company Peeping Tom in 1999. Since then the creative path of the duo has been marked by success. Among numerous other prizes, the popular and famous company received the prestigious Olivier Award in 2015 for its production «32 rue Vandenbranden».
