As part of Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps
A 15-minute piece created for the Martha Graham Company in 2022 is now the starting point for a new choreography: Hofesh Shechter is developing it into a full-length piece with his Junior Company, which will celebrate its world premiere as part of Steps. Those familiar with Shechter’s work know the high intensity and dynamism of his characteristic ensemble work, which is also visible and palpable in this latest creation: choreography meets techno rave scene. Together with eight performers, the UK-based choreographer explores the freedom, energy and intimacy found in both club culture and contemporary dance: a collective experience for all the senses!
