Akram Khan and his company producer Farooq Chaudhry combine three solo works from around the world in one programme: Maya Jilan Dong choreographs her own movement vocabulary that is inspired by Bai folk dances of her Chinese homeland. Dickson Mbi, a renowned artist in the world of body popping, builds bridges between hip hop and contemporary dance. The third solo is by Rianto from Indonesia and represents a dialogue between traditional Javanese and contemporary dance.
