With your ticket for Stef Van Looveren’s performance, you also get admission to Tanz in Bern feat. POETiK P «POOM POOM & PARTY».
Stef Van Looveren’s performance «Radical Hope – Eye to Eye» goes all out: intriguing objects, exuberant make-up, tactile clothing, driving music and imploring movements. Van Looveren explores therein a variety of emotional and social stages: grief, rage, desire, happiness, resentment and terror. In their work, they do not so much criticise existing orders but rather challenge them with exuberant alternatives. What an intensive explosion of energy!
| Stef Van Looveren, a multidisciplinary artist from Belgium, uses mud, water, earth and plants to create an erotic-opulent playground. Audiences long to lose themselves in this surreal backdrop, this garden of pleasure. |
The texts for this year’s Tanz in Bern draw from two sources: firstly, what the artists themselves write about their productions, and secondly, how these productions relate to the festival theme pleasurable.
