The masterclass offers an insight into the full spectrum of Adam Linder’s studio practice. His approach to dance revolves around two main areas: the merging and reinterpretation of different dance vocabularies that have become inscribed in our bodies through cultural influences, and the exploration of individual psychophysical tensions.
Starting with exercises in which movement is generated in real time, parameters are gradually introduced to guide these improvisations towards more specific outcomes. Adam Linder will also introduce movement material from previous works. Together, participants will explore the imaginative agency and physical possibilities that emerge from this material.
Dampfzentrale Bern and Schlachthaus Theater SHT offer master classes with renowned international artists and local initiatives. They are intended for theatre and dance professionals from the cultural scene in Bern and throughout Switzerland.
