lazy club is Dampfzentrale Berne's listening format, which takes place every third Sunday afternoon of the month in the foyer. The series aims to celebrate the collective listening of music in an informal, low-threshold and cosy setting. At each event, three people from the regional, national and occasionally international music scene (musicians, curators, journalists, concertgoers, DJs) are invited to play an hour of music. The DJ sets may cover as broad a musical spectrum as possible and should not necessarily serve a dancefloor context.

Further information to follow soon.

Ivana Ray Singh

Ivana Ray Singh from Menorca is a multidisciplinary artist and newcomer to the Freiburg cultural scene. She has performed throughout Europe with both her live projects (Amas, Solar Bodies) and her completely eclectic DJ sets – from underground venues to the Sónar Festival, where she heralded its 25th anniversary with her fusion of performance art, quantum physics, spoken word, noise, intersectional feminism and magical music.

She is the founder and curator of the A Love Supreme Festival and the residency for dissident art and music at the Convent, as well as the creator of the Fetitxisme Sònic podcast and the ASMR-inspired platform together with Omvra (Y.W.F.T.). As a DJ, she moves seamlessly between genres and eras in her sets, revealing an inner relationship as the set progresses.

Lisheva

Whether it’s dark, energetic trance, experimental bass production or a hyperpop-trap fusion track, Lisheva touches, connects and transcends genres with great ease. Intimate songwriting is carried by unique textures and grooves, with passages drifting into detailed sound design. The voice weaves melody and meaning together. In November 2023, Lisheva released her debut EP Cygnus Moriens on Forcefield Records. The three songs tell the story of healing old wounds through newly discovered definitions of love and friendship. A larger project looming on the horizon will follow this exciting formula of constant reinvention and refinement. At lazy club, Lisheva shares possible inspirations or fragments of her current work.

Minami Saeki

Minami Saeki moves between different practices and disciplines as if they hardly existed – she goes for walks, ice skates, dances, choreographs, directs films, sings, acts in theatre, writes experimental music pieces and commissions musicians to perform them, has been singing for 10 years in the duo «Songs» with experimental musician Taku Sugimoto, and is currently studying sound art and fine art at CAP in HKB.
