Izabel (Lullabies for Insomniacs)
Nosedrip (Stroom)

Nosedrip does the amazing label Stroom, Izabel does the amazing label Lullabies for Insomniacs; both are amazing DJs. The Australian Izabel Caligiore releases experimental, primarily electronic music from the present, in which ghostly echoes of blues, jazz, ambient, and minimal music float. The Belgian Ziggy Devrient (alias Nosedrip) has dedicated his wanderlust to a “Belgian exoticism” from the ’80s and ’90s, and also sometimes wanders towards Lithuania or Japan.

Nosedrip and Izabel are part of an avant-garde that someone once called the “weirdo post-Kraut scene”. A posse of closely networked DJs, who are always on the lookout for musical pearls anywhere, across disciplines and decades. From Ostend to Osaka, from Melbourne to Malmö.

It’s no coincidence that this night is being held in collaboration with Roof.fm: the Bern-based mix series, which grew out of a radio show, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Roof.fm is one of the most long-running DJ podcast series and over the years has created a catalogue that is internationally renowned. Omar-S, Lena Willikens, Pépé Bradock, and Eva Geist have already made mixes. Happy birthday!
