Khrystyna Kirik with F⽉ G & Marie Delprat

Khrystyna Kirik is a Ukrainian sound artist, composer and performer who incorporates everyday sounds, samples, voice and self-made objects into her music. The trained double bass player positions herself between noise, electro-acoustic music, improvisation and field recordings.

F⽉ G aka Fhunyue Gao lived in Bern for many years and has now been living in Geneva for some time. She works with multidisciplinary methods in the fields of dance, music, theatre and film. Musically, she’s situated at the interface between pop, electronic music and spoken word. Theremin and Buchla synthesiser are her long-time allies and accompany her singing.

Marie Delprat is Associated Artist at Dampfzentrale Bern, trained as a baroque musician, but is now active in experimental electronic music, where she usually works at the interface between concerts and immersive sound installations. Most recently, she presented «Ethereal Realms – all fiction is metaphor» at Dampfzentrale, a solo concert as part of a performative installation inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s 1969 feminist science fiction novel «The Left Hand of Darkness».

As part of a SHAPE+ residency at Dampfzentrale Bern, Khrystyna Kirik, F⽉ G and Marie Delprat are working on a joint live project.
