LAS TEMPLAS is a movement-based audio-visual experience around Tropicalia and Afro-Futurism, drawing heavily on urban dance styles developed in the Afro-diaspora. Using these counterculture movements within a post-pop concert format as a starting point, Ivy Monteiro and their collaborators create new rituals that open up dystopian realities rooted in futuristic ancestrality and queer spirituality. This fusion of dance, sound and images enables the audience to transcend and travel collectively into other dimensions of self-acknowledgement and growth.

Sharings are public rehearsals that bring artists and interested audiences together. Such sharings offer insight into the creative processes of artists who are currently rehearsing at the Dampfzentrale Bern. They show what they are currently working on, what they are occupied with, and what is going on in an uncomplicated setting. Afterwards, the artists welcome discussion with their future audience. The Dampfzentrale Bern dramaturgical team moderates and supervises the sharings.
