Two charismatic performers, a mixture of whimsical fairy and depressive cosmetic surgeon, play with the funny sides of melancholy in a way that is entertaining and poetic. True to Justin Bieber’s philosophy “Follow your dreams and don’t let anyone stop you”, they whisk the audience away on an absurd trip of secret desires.
Ernestyna Orlowska, Tanja Turpeinen, and Emily Magorrian met during their master’s degree in Expanded Theater at the Bern University of the Arts, where the dramaturge Maren Rieger works as a lecturer.
Ernestyna Orlowska, the initiator of “Wishing Well”, has already worked with Emily Magorrian and Tanja Turpeinen on various projects, including “FRUITS”, “Pool”, and “BODIY”.
“Wishing Well XXL” is shown as part of Heimspiu. Heimspiu is a project of Tanzfest, BETA and Dampfzentrale Bern, which presents the work of dancers from Berne.
