As seductive as it is illicit: we enjoy guilty pleasures despite their bland, shameful and guilty flavour. Capitalism and its many offerings promise us absolute pleasure. However, we realise all the promises are hollow – at the latest – when we unpack the dazzling dress from the ad, the massage gun soon stops working or the expensive «top quality» item tastes just like the budget brand.
This evening, we will be celebrating the anti-guilty pleasure!
We kick off the evening with artist Ernestyna Orlowska’s slow-paced anti-fashion show, reflecting on our relationship with fashion and – lifestyle gadgets in a playful, dystopian manner. That much self-criticism whets your appetite. Next to the runway, hot hot hot GmbH will be conjuring up its luxury apéro plaisir at Dampfzentrale, tempting us with its hot food installations.
A performative and culinary evening for everyone, free of guilt or shame.
