“Sitzen ist eine gute Idee” is the name of the work by Antje Pfundtner. This is the conclu- sion that many political activists have come to – for example, the climate activists who held a sit-down protest at Bundesplatz last year until the police forcibly removed them one by one.

As such, sitting down can be seen as a new form of rising up. Wherever dark clouds loom over world events, people come together to fight against political and social injustices. Bern seems to be embraced by a network of activists, ranging from queer-feminist groups to collectives that voice their criticism of the European migration policy.

Do you also have an activist streak in you, but do not know how or where to put your activist skills to work? Together we will try to take the first steps – purposeful, playful, practical.

This workshop is for everyone who feels it is also their time to rise up.

Direction: Christine Schmocker (activist and drama educator)
