Musicians from Ensemble Proton Bern and latenz ensemble from Aargau are embarking on a special experiment together. At the beginning, each musician brings an object to the rehearsal – this could be, for example, a book, a picture or a map. From this initial visual and tactile stimulus, sonic, musical and performative dialogues, fragments and suggestions emerge, straddling the line between improvisation and composition.
What acoustic associations emerge? What feelings, moods and memories permeate the collaborative sound work — and how are these, in turn, conveyed musically to the audience? The Brodel Days become an experimental exchange of sound — rich in associations and full of surprises. The audience is invited to re-explore their own sonic imaginations in the space between the two ensembles.
