What could be more beautiful than discovering up-and-coming musicians and accompanying them on their way? This is one of the reasons why the renowned Concours Nicati for contemporary music exists. At the end of August it will take place for the ninth time in Bern.
The Final in the Dampfzentrale combines the two competition categories : in addition to four 40-minute concerts with avant-garde works and promising world premieres (category «Interpretation»), the winning project of the new category «Open Space» will be presented – an innovative performance at the interface between music and other forms of artistic expression. But that’s not all: for the first time, the audience can slip into the role of the jury (Audience Award «Interpretation»). The evening will end with the awarding of several highly endowed prizes and a glass of wine in a relaxed atmosphere.
