In her works, Brazilian performance artist Carolina Bianchi interweaves literary, pop-cultural and art-historical references and impressively questions current conditions. In the first part of her trilogy «Cadela Força», which translates as «slut power», Bianchi deals with sexualised violence against women or FLINTA-people. She puts herself in a state of maximum vulnerability by taking knockout drops – known as «Goodnight Cinderella» in Brazil and also known as a rape drug. While reporting on the feminicide of performance artist Pippa Bacca, Bianchi finally loses consciousness. Together with eight performers from the Cara de Cavalo collective, Bianchi explores what an unconscious body can tell us and thus connects to the reality of many survivors. The second part of her trilogy «The Brotherhood TRILOGIA CADELA FORÇA – Capítulo II» premiered in May of this year at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels to a sold-out audience.
