For the vampire drama “Blood Kiss”, the Swiss theatre collective KNPV and the Dutch Danstheater AYA combine bold interactive dance theatre with acting with human-sized puppets. Inspired by the Swedish film “Let the right one in” (2008), they blend entrenched role models with a lot of black humour, melancholy, and a tender love story.

“Blood Kiss” tells the story of the two young people, Eli and Oskar: the introverted Oskar is mocked as a loser and beaten by his schoolmates. The unfathomable Eli has recently moved in and hides a dark secret. The two outsiders quickly become friends, support each other, form a blood bond, and gradually become more courageous.

“Blood Kiss” is a joint production by the Dampfzentrale Bern and the Schlachthaus Theater Bern and is the second work by the Swiss theatre collective KNPV and the Danstheater AYA from the Netherlands on the initiative of the two cultural centres in Bern.
