Emil Zbinden and Eugen Jordi’s ABC wall has been on display at the Bernisches Historisches Museum for a year now. It is gone from the Wylergut school building, just as the winning project of the 2019 municipal competition wanted.

The painted piece of wall has moved and changed post-migrant Bern – the public and white institutions as well as the people who campaign for anti-racism. But where do we go from here? How can the impetus of recent years be used to further strengthen a transformation that is critical of racism?

In a polyphonic forum, the association “Das Wandbild muss weg!”, with voices from politics, research, art, civil society, media and the community, takes a reflective look back and a visionary and concrete look forward…

With:
Association “Das Wandbild muss weg” (Fatima Moumouni, Vera Ryser, Bernhard C. Schär)
And other voices from politics, research, art, civil society, media and community

Moderation: Rohit Jain, Institute for Social Anthropology, University of Bern

A collaboration between the Public Anthro Lab of the University of Bern, the association “Das Wandbild muss weg!” and Dampfzentrale Bern

The event is taking place as part of the 15th Action Week of the City of Bern against Racism.
