Amuse tête – Kleider machen Geschichte(n)

Ana Marín Moreno is a curatorial assistant in the Department of Art of the Americas at the Museum Rietberg in Zurich. She studied art history in Madrid and Bern, where she specialised in pre-Columbian textiles and completed her Master’s degree in 2026, focusing on the history of the textile arts. Ana Marín Moreno’s academic approach to textiles is complemented by her practical, craft-based experience in theatre: as a theatre seamstress and costume fitter, she worked in various costume departments in Switzerland and Austria, creating costumes for opera, drama and dance productions.

Janina Ammon studied textile design at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and art history, specialising in the history of the textile arts, at University of Bern. Her work as a costume designer has taken her to venues including Zurich Opera House, Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe and Regensburg Theatre. Since March 2026, Janina Ammon has been a research assistant and PhD candidate in the Department of the History of the Textile Arts at the University of Bern. Her research focuses on questions relating to the production, function and reception of late medieval and early modern printed fabrics.
