lazy club is Dampfzentrale Berne's listening format, which takes place every third Sunday afternoon of the month in the foyer. The series aims to celebrate the collective listening of music in an informal, low-threshold and cosy setting. At each event, three people from the regional, national and occasionally international music scene (musicians, curators, journalists, concertgoers, DJs) are invited to play an hour of music. The DJ sets may cover as broad a musical spectrum as possible and should not necessarily serve a dancefloor context.

Joan Seiler

The musician, artist, DJ and event organiser Joan Seiler has been performing on stages across Switzerland and internationally for many years, both in bands and as a solo artist. In the 2010s, there was her psychedelic art-pop band Joan & The Sailors, and then later in the same decade and continuing to this day, the dreamy pop band Jon Hood, which revels in a quiet urgency (their new album Pieces Of Reality has just been released!). As DJ Juan, Joan enjoys mixing music of a wide variety of styles from many parts of the world.

Fatima Moumouni

Fatima Moumouni writes [spoken word, theatre, columns, rap] and performs on stage [COLD, the «Die Neue Unsicherheit» talk series, the Postmigrantische Late Night Show, hosting gigs, spoken word].
Together with Laurin Buser, she is touring with the spoken word piece «COLD»; together they have also written the plays «BULLESTRESS», «Ich Chan Es Zündhölzli Azünde» for the Schauspielhaus Zürich and «Die Weisse Madonna von Einsiedeln» for the Theater Basel. In 2022, they were awarded the Salzburger Stier. In 2023, Moumouni received the City of Zurich’s Cultural Award in the Dance/Theatre category.
As DJ Fat Time Ah (what time is it??), she plays Afrobeats and tunes from the 2000s, featuring ambitious, avant-garde transitions.

Etna ROM

Etna ROM is the solo music project of artist and educator Andrea Rickhaus. As an extension of her artistic practice, Etna ROM marks a shift from the visual to the musical – into a space that allows for intuition and deeper exploration.

In doing so, she moves between external and internal landscapes and sees music as a medium that demands presence and creates connection. Her debut EP, Terra Blu (Inner City), is due out in September.
She will be behind the decks for the first time at lazy club.
