In the programme, Jessie Marino and Daniel Zea question the established concert ritual in their own completely different ways, rethinking it and thus opening up astonishing levels of experience.
Daniel Zea longs for art music that conveys physicality and even invites people to dance. His compositional interest lies in the development of scores that are generated live. The individual voices influence each other and interact to determine the direction and continuation of the piece. In addition to sound, light is also part of the composition. On a deeper level, it thematises how we shape our individual, often multiple personalities and present them to the world by showing, hiding, mixing and (de)fragmenting our identities depending on the context.
Jessie Marino combines elements of pop culture and political discourse in her compositions to create dynamic music that combines humour and pathos. For her new work, she plans to embed the audience, i.e. you, in darkness between the musicians distributed around the room, allowing you to immerse yourself in unimagined dimensions of listening.
